Can you use cream cheese frosting under fondant? I have only used Buttercream but I am making a red velvet cake with cream cheese filling & I want the filling to be the same as the frosting covering the cake.

I just delivered a 2 tier cake with fondant on Saturday and I used the decorators cream cheese icing. I had no problems with it so I can not see why you could not do so.
