I'm making gumpaste carnations using the YouTube instructions on Rylan's sticky. Problem is, I can't get them to frill. I'm rolling them very thin & rolling a toothpick along the edge but it's just flattening, not frilling & curling up. I tried doing it both on the hard counter & on a foam pad. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Try rolling it with a tapered or sharpened wooden dowel. That works best for me, rather than a toothpick.
