Has anyone ever placed fondant accents on a cake iced with Wilton Whipped Icing? Does the fondant melt/bleed into the icing?

Also, since a cake iced with whipped icing usually needs to be refrigerated, will this affect my fondant accents? (as I thought you weren't supposed to refrigerate fondant)
