How do I attach edible image rounds to cupcakes? The background of the image is purple with white writing and a picture. Do I need to use white buttercream underneath? The customer is wanting purple buttercream border around the image as well. How do I go about this without them looking like a hot mess? Did I mention the picture is of Justin Beiber? icon_lol.gif

How about icing the cupcakes with purple buttercream and then placing the images on a circle of fondant to sit on top of the buttercream.
