Hi Everyone,

I'm planning on doing a beach bucket cake and was going to carve it from 8" rounds. I've only stacked two at a time per tier, and have never done more than that. I seem to remember something about inserting cardboard rounds after a few layers of cake, but I'm not sure how many. Do I use cardboard every two, or three layers??

Thanks!!

Hi, I would use a cardboard and other supports every 2 layers. It also helps to use a smaller cardboard round than the cake - HTH!

You make it just like any other tiered cake, it's just that your tiers are the same diameter.
