I made a cake last night and already put the BC on, but saw a fairly simple designed that I can do, but I know it would look better with a colored icing and white accents. Can I remove the icing from the cake or will that mess it up. I'll more than likely just have colored accents and keep the white cake, but would like to know for future references.

Depends on the type of cake and icing. However, to be safe, I would pop it in the freezer for 10 - 30 mins and scrape it off.

Yeah, so that's what I would do . Maybe even really freeze it for 2 + hours and scrape off with a spatula...good luck and please share how it worked!
