I have just got my airbrush machine in the mail. Unfortunately my Amerimist colors have not arrived yet! I was hoping I could water down the gel colors and they would work. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have only recently started using an airbrush, and before I got a larger selection of colors, I needed brown, so just mixed some americolor gel with vodka, and it worked beautifully!!!

That's mainly what I use. Vodka mixed with gel - it works well, I've found. HTH

you can do it in a pinch, but the airbrush colours have finer pigments so are less likely to clog your airbrush and cause splatters and mess.

don't use water! it can leave little spots on your cake, (it does on cookies)use vodka or a clear extract
