I colored some of the white Duff fondant about 8 months ago to cover a cake. I put the left over back in the container it came in, its still soft and smells good. Is it still good for covering a cake or should I throw it out?

Fondant doesnt usually go off, with that much sugar in it, its well preserved, You tend to find, If it HAS gone off, it will be starting to breakdown, sticky and gloopy almost melting in apearance . . Yours sounds absolutely fine i see no reason why you cant use it icon_smile.gif

I have used mine (MFF) months later and it is fine. You can also freeze fondant and it is good a year later.
