Has anyone used the Wilton sugar sheets? Did you use a punch or can you use them in a cricut? I've never seen them until today when I stumbled across them on the internet. I have some of the cricut icing sheets and haven't used them yet but from what I have read they are brittle and difficult to use. Just wondering if the Wilton sheets were the same and if anyone has tried them.

The best sheets I have found are icingimages. The ones from cricut are horrible and unless the wilton sheets are better then most of their other products I would stay away from them.

They are wonderful actually. My instructor let us see one and actually got to eat a piece of one and they do not taste that bad..... I think you can use them in the cricket but i am not 100% sure on it. Wilton is bringing them out soon and i can not remember what month they will have them for people to purchase.

Hi

I actually use nothing but Wilton products and i love them. They are wonderful. I have not had any problems with Wilton products. Wilton icing sheets actually do not taste that bad at all. They taste sweeter than the other wilton icing i have tried. But that is just my opinion though. But Wilton products are not bad at all

Hi, we were told at a WMI meeting that the sheets will be out in May, and yes, they can be used in the Cricut.

If you love all the wilton products I have two wilton levelers I'd love to sell you. And I wasn't talking about the taste of the sheets but the quality and smooothness of the sheets. I've used several brands and icingimages has the smoothest finish and best quality I have tried. Linda McClure, who invented the method of using the cricut for cake decorating, also uses the icingimages sheets with her electronic cutters.

Thank You!! I was wondering if they were in stores yet but you've answered my question. I'm going to give it a shot because no matter HOW I TRY, I cannot for the life of me get gumpaste/fondant/sugarveil to work in my cricut. I don't have the cake cricut - just the regular one but still no success. I am so jealous of all the cakes I see with beautiful cricut designs. Maybe with the sugar sheets I will finally have some luck. I will also go check out icing images sheets. icon_smile.gif

Let me get this right...so the sheets are removed from the paper and placed on the cricut mat?...also...i have icingimages sheets and have had a problem with them not staying on the sheet they come with so i can run it thru my edible image printer...they shift and i end up wasting them...any ideas?

I used my Cricut Cake and their frosting sheets on the Baby Shower Cake I completed last nite. I did not have any problems. While shopping for my frosting sheets - they are in very short supply.

You can apply them to your cricut mat with some shortening (a thin layer). SoonerGirl1968, have you watched Linda McClure's youtube videos on how to use gumpaste with the electronic cutters? It works best if you use her recipe and her instructions. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=silhouette%20%20electronic%20cutter&search=Search&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&spell=1

Angel,

Did they by chance say the date in May that the icing sheets would be out?

Where can you buy the icing images that are mentioned? I still have some cricut images, and want to try the wilton because of the variety of the sheets that they have
But I would like to try as many as I can to find out what works best.
