I accidentially doubled the amount of veggie oil in my yellow cake. i had doubled the batch of the durable wedding cake recipe that is on here and doubled the oil (i needed 2/3 cup I did 1 1/3c) It is the top tier of a two tier cake. 8" round. Will it be ok to use or should I make a new one?

It tastes fine and looks fine maybe a little more greasy on the bottom. When I cover it in fondant will it do something weird and fall apart?

If your baked cake is even a little "greasy" I would rebake. icon_smile.gif
