Does anyone know how this lady colored the fondant for these books? I though she may have painted them with dye, I wasn't sure how she got it so dark. Any tips on getting the pages to look that realistic would be helpful too. I have never made one before, and someone has requested one.

It looks to me like they were painted, probably with a mix of food color and something with a high alcohol content (I generally use vodka for this). You could also airbrush the color on, but in this case, i! looks like you can see the brush strokes. Those books are really beautiful.

Thanks for the info! I don't have an airbrush, but do you think that the spray icing they have in the stores would do?

The color selection isn't very good for those spray-on colors, but if you can find one you like, go for it. I've used them for a couple of things while I'm waiting for the airbrush I ordered to come in.
