Hi all, I am very new to cake decorating and have made only a few fondant cakes. I love doing it and was wondering what kind of cake you use under a fondant tier cake? To this point I have only used pound cakes, but have been getting the feed back that they are a little too dense. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. icon_biggrin.gif

WASC (the doctored cake mix recipe on here) is great under fondant. Is firm yet spongy. You can use any flavoring you'd like in it, of course not just almond.
