I had to store coloured fondant for 3 months as the order got postponed last minute. after two months , i checked it today and its giving a strange taste. i had stored it in 3 slip lock plastic bags (glad) Should i have placed it in the freezer? Whats the best way to store fondant, for the future. any advice please. fondant was purchased , not home made stuff.

Tightly wrapped, fondant can last several months without freezing (storing it in the fridge for a long time is never a good idea), so if your fondant is tasting strange after only two months, it might have either tasted strange to start with and you didn't notice it or it was old when you bought it and was close enough to the end of its shelf life to start going bad after just a couple of months.
