I recently posted a question about how much sugar crystal I should purchase for an upcoming wedding. I got great replies and ordered them from country kitchens. I also did a search in the forums to figure out the best way of applying them to the cake. I thought I'd share with everyone....I completely covered a 3 tier cake (10"x4" 8"X4" and a 6"x4" tiers) with one pound of sugar crystals and some left over! I also found that pouring some crystals into my palm and "rolling" them up the icing (it was BC) was the best technique for me. Just thought I'd share!

Thanks, sweetviolet, that's good to know. I'm just before using some sugar crystals to decorate some of my Easter treats, and I've never done it before.
