Cake Vs. Cupcakes: I Need Ideas, Quick!

I just whipped up some Sylvia Weinstock Classic Yellow and doubled the recipe with the intention of getting 36 regular cupcakes and a bunch of minis for 2 separate events, one being my cousin's birthday. I was going to make her a cupcake bouquet.

But now after putting 24 cupcakes in the oven, I feel like I have SO MUCH batter left. If I make my cousin a cake instead of a cupcake bouquet, I have no idea how I would decorate. It's a lemon cake with lemon curd and I was planning a lemon SMBC.

Does anyone have any elegant/classy ideas for a birthday cake that would suit this flavor combo? I need to get this batter in the oven ASAP.
