Hi I am making a humidor cake for a friends birthday not to sure what to make the top of the cake out of I want to make it an open humidor but not sure what to use as the lid so that it will stay up if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!!

Not a humidor but I asked the decorator about this cake and how the casket lid was made to be open. (I wanted to make a ring box) and was told the lid was RKTs. Hope this helps some.

you could use foam board covered in fondant

Thank you guys I ended up using a cake board because evrything else was to heavy to hold up but it turned out pretty good considering it was my first time making this
