Is it me or do some of yall want to quit doing cakes every other day. I was convinced I was quitting cakes forever this past Saturday. I had a bad shortening experience, it would not blend out I had lumps of shortening in the icing. The more I beat the shortening with the mixer the more air I got and I finally had to use my hands to squish it up. It was a mess times 10.

I knew there had to be something better I could do than this. I thought about getting a job as the person who picked up roadkill or something. My son made me feel SO much better when he said "but mama, what do you know how to do, you haven't had a real job since I was born?"

I was going to get that application too but I booked some weddings and I forgot about quitting and thought I might add on to my shop.....or maybe I'll quit next weekend.
