Help? I need an idea for a girl turning 10 who wants a cake design having to do with gymnastics or dance (but NOT ballet). My dilemma is that I don't have much time as I was asked to do this AND her sister's cake last minute. So, that leaves out anything gumpaste that needs time to harden. And it has to be a small cake... 2 layer 6" round or single layer 8" round at the biggest. Can anyone think of a design she might like that's simple? I asked her about butterflies or flowers but was shot down on both accounts icon_cry.gif
Thank you in advance!

what about a single color cake with silhouettes of dancers or gymnasts? you could print off pictures and trace them onto fondant.

How about a gold medal looking thing on top (huge- like the whole top) for gymnastics and have the neck ribbon draping down and around the cake....

Do a small square instead and make it look like a tumbling mat. Make a ribbon wand and have it trailing across the mat like she just finished a floor exercise.

Found an example of a silhouette cake.... http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1623273
