I'm making the cake's for my wedding and my fiance is a HUGE football fan, specifically a bronco's fan. We both hate fondant, but since it's my wedding I don't have forever to work on perfect buttercream. The actual wedding cake will be cupcakes with only the top tier as actual cake so no problem there, but I'm not sure on his groom's cake. He wants a football and I have the wilton football pan. I thought about making a poured chocolate icing and covering it that way to get it smooth. Has anyone ever tried this?
Also, his cake is going to be a white russian cake with alchol in the frosting, I'm worried the cooked frosting would cook out the alchol.
Any other ideas would be appreciated
