I have been told to cover foam pieces to get a better variety of picture.
how do i go about covering foam pieces?? do i just roll the fondant and put it over the foam or do i have to put icing over it first like i would a cake???

It won't work for foam pieces, but for styrofoam cake dummies...
Your fondant will adhere if you just mist with water, or
smear shortening over the dummy.

You can also find lots of old posts about dummy cakes by using the search feature under the forum and article tabs. When using the search put and inbetween the main words.

So you would want to search something like: "How and cover and dummy and cake" or "cover and fondant and dummy and cakes"
