Hello !! Ok I'm not sure if i have the correct name.. But i've read that you can mix melted sugar and water and brush it on your cake to keep it moist. My question is, do i brush this mixture on my cake before i seran wrap my cake and put in freezer or after i take out of freezer??? please help.. thanks in advance
I think what you are talking about is called simple syrup.
Texas Sugar is right - what you are talking about is indeed 'simple syrup'.
It can be flavored or not.
If you bake your cakes properly there should be no need for this step but......it sure doesn't hurt
You brush on simple syrup just before you fill and frost.
