I was wondering will it hurt to fill a frozen cake or will the cake be mushy?
I always let my cake defrost until it is supple enough to carve but still strong enough to not shed many crumbs. Once this is done I fill pretty much straight after and havent had any problems. Depending on the size of the cake, i let it sit out 1-2 hours
