I am donating 10 sheet cakes for a benefit the first week in April. Nothing fancy. They will be baked and served in the disposable aluminum pans. Does anyone have any ideas for the top of the cake? That will be the only part iced. I want to do something "easy" besides just slapping frosting on the top of the cake. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you! icon_smile.gif

What about a pattern of simple fondant flowers so each piece will have one?

Would you just make some cut out flowers from fondant and/or gumpaste using a cricut cake machine? Or can you make them by hand easily? I just want something simple, but something that doesn't look thrown together.

You can buy the little flower cutouts for fondant/gumpaste, or just a small buttercream rose bud (if you can do those, I can't! lol) in each "divided" square would be pretty and simple.

You can "pre-divide" the servings sizes by using small borders. Let me see if I can find a picture for you.
