Just wondering if this is done, pros and cons. Looking for the flavor and strengh that Ganache gives the cake.

Thanks!

yes, this is done frequently with cakes in australia. check out the book "planet cake". it gives all kinds of tips and tricks for ganaching a cake and covering with fondant. good luck!

Are you even talking about covering it with fondant at all, or just BC over the ganache? I use ganache under fondant all the time, but I've never used it under BC. I'm sure it could be done though. Not sure about the taste.... But I have filled a cake with buttercream between the layers and covered with ganache and it tasted good.

icon_wink.gifthumbs_up.gif Yep, that's usually the question when people ask about ganache.
