How much filling is needed for a 2 layer 16 inch square cake? I am making a white cake with strawberry filling. I found the guide on wilton for batter and icing amounts , but no filling amounts.
Thanks so much!

Maybe someone else could tell you the exact amount, but personally, I never know for sure. I just always judge by thickness. I put enough on to make to make 1/4-1 inch thickness (just depends on your preference and even how rich the filling is).

You can make one batch of filling and then measure each 'scoop' you put onto your cake until you get the amount you want. Then you can measure how much you have left and compare to the measurement it takes to fill one torte. That will help you judge how much filling you'll need.

Hope this wasn't too confusing for you. icon_smile.gif
