I made some cake balls today (OK, cake truffles for the polite people icon_lol.gif
I dipped half in real chocolate and half in candy melts - some of the candy melt-covered balls have cracks in them - big cracks where you can see the cake. Does anybody know why? . . . I did everything else the same on both batches . . . or is the motto: only dip your balls in real chocolate?

Possibly the cake mixture was too cold? Mine did the same recently.
