My Chocolate Brown Americolor is turning my fondant a putty/terracotta color. What the heck? Maybe I've had it too long. Is there an expiration date on the soft gels?

I don't think so but I have had black Americolor turn my icing a greyish /purple.Since purple is the base for black I find when it does that the color has gone bad.Replace it!!
