Hello everyone,
Currently I have a dairy free mad science theme cake to make for a 10 year old. I know nothing about dairy free and don't want to mess this up. So far I have a recipe for a dairy free white cake...but my question is, is regular pendant that u buy at the store dairy free and is basic butter cream fronting dairy free? I look at the ingredients in Cisco and powdered sugar and don't see any dairy ingredients, but I just want to make sure. Also, the cake is suppose to have strawberry jam for the filling, is that dairy free as well, like strawberry jam from the store?? Please help me, thank u so much!!

Crisco is vegetable shortening. It has no dairy in it. Powdered sugar is sugar and corn starch so it is dairy-free as well.

If you are looking for good dairy-free frosting or cake recipes, you will have good luck looking for vegan recipes. While vegans put more restrictions on their diet than just no dairy, you can be confident that any vegan recipe is dairy-free.
