I was wondering what recommendations people had for great overall recipe books. Before I start my business, I want/need to experiment with recipes to find the best. Any suggestions would be great!

I would suggest Sky High: Irressitible Triple-Layer cakes by Alisa Huntsman and Peter Wynne. It has scratch recipes that are very moist! icon_lol.gif I don't know what I would do without it! thumbs_up.gif

Also, Shirley Corriher's Bakewise thumbs_up.gif

Sky High. Delicious cakes and combinations. Be warned. She uses cake flour. Buy a lot of it!

Every single one of them is absolutely delicious.

Yes, she uses a lot of cake flour! Her cakes are great in the Sky High book! I mean bake a butter cake, use a perishable filling, refrigerate it, set out for 15-20 minutes to come to temp and its still moist kind of cakes!
