Any Tips Available To Make Gumpaste Dry Faster??

hey all,

is time the only thing that allows gumpaste to dry??
I have plenty of time with what i am thinking of making, but i just wanted ot know if there were any tips or tricks to help the drying process??

I dust a plate or glass pyrex dish with powdered sugar or corn starch and place it in an over with the light on only no heat but the heat of the light.

Set them in the oven....NO heat with only the light turned on. Put a sticky over the "on" button so no one in the house turns the oven on.....trust me on this!

thanks guys!! i thought i had seen some kind of oven tip but wasn't sure what is was and dint want to melt my flowers in the trial process haha

I wonder if that trick will work with new ovens. I just got new ovens and the lights are LED, not bulbs, so they don't generate heat.

I use my dehydrator a lot for drying gumpaste.

A simple fan will pull the moisture out right quick!! I use it for my royal icing flowers all the time.

Nick Lodge and Scott Woolley say to put in oven on 150degree for at least hour or sometimes two. i have done it plenty of times. works great.
