i put my cakes in a bag then i tighten the bag and put it in the freezer. when i got the frozen cake out i realized that i had tied the bag too tight and now the cake is dented. if the cake thaws out will it come back to the original shape?

In my experience the dent will remain. Can you fill it in with extra icing?

thank you for your response. I put ganache and covered the dent. worked like a charm. wonder who will get the slice with mostly chocolate than cake though.

From what I have also experienced, the dents will still be there upon thawing. I just wrap mine in press-n-seal for the freezer and in heavy duty foil twice, sealing all openings. HTH and good luck!

You put it in a bag and then freeze it? I freeze mine and then bag them.
