i have to make this cake and cant decide on how to approach the structure of the drums. For the details on the drums i was mostly going to wing it and try different approaches to see what held up. any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

The one on the left? Just stack rounds and put boards every 4 inches.
so instead of molding them out of rice krispie or something i made the drums out of cake and they came out great now i just dont know whether to keep them refrigerated till the delivery tomorrow or leave them out. the only fear of leaving them out is that if the strings on the taller drum dry completely they might crack en route to the hall.. any suggestions??
