I always try to make always of butter cream for decorating when i have a little free time but, when i do think that im making alot it only seems to be enough to cover a 3 layer cake. i need a recipe or any tips for making alot of icing at once. i need suggestions for a white-white butter cream(with no butter using shorting) and a butter cream using actual butter. Also, what is the best shorting(brands) to get. I'm a little confused about the difference between all-veg shorting and reg shorting. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
IndyDebi has an amazing recipe. It is bridal white.
When I don't need bridal white I replace the fake vanilla with real stuff and use 1/2 cup butter in place of 1/2 cup of crisco. I use whipping cream instead of milk when it's on hand.
