Easy Way To Do Monograms And Fancy Designs

So found a super easy way to do monograms for cakes! Blow up the image to whatever size you want. Trace the image with a black marker. Put a flashlight in a bucket with a white lid. Put the image on the lid of the bucket. Roll fondant down VERY thin (i've done it with light colored fondant as well as white) Cut out whatever shape you want the monogram, then just put over the image and trace in royal icing or buttercream. If you want a thicker monogram, then just roll out a thicker piece of fondant and glue em together.
I've used this for a few cakes, and for intricate designs it works very well.
here's a cake i did with the "light box" i made. i wanted to make sure they were both exactly the same, so thought tracing would be the best idea. plus i'm not that great at free handing!! [/img]
ok so apparently i'm not very good with getting pictures attached to messages, but i have a couple examples in my pics.

The attachment to a post software isn't working properly right now.
