I need to freeze 300 cookies that have royal icing flowers on them. How should I defrost them so the royal icing decorations stay nice??? TIA

Keep the cookies in their containers while you let them thaw at room temp. Watch for condensation that may form on the inside of the lid of the container. You'll want to wipe that off and replace the lid.

I would advise against thawing in the refrigerator because there's too much moisture in there.

Thanks so much!!! I will defrost them in the container next to a dehumidifier. Would it be better for me to place each cookie in a cookie treat bag before I freeze them? Or would this cause a problem when defrosting them? TIA

I like to bag my cookies before freezing. Saves a step later!

Be careful with the dehumidifier. You don't want to dry out your cookies. icon_smile.gif
