I got an order for a cake with hockey sticks propped on the side of the cake (order goes out in 3 days). Is it best to make the sticks out of 100% gumpaste or should I use a gumpaste/fondant mix? I just want them to be strong enough to stand up, yet dry for the cake.

I'm a big fan of gumpaste, myself. It dries harder than the mix, and if you want them to stand up, it's probably the best way to go.
