I've only made and decorated cookies a few times. I've used the glaze recipe found at Karen's cookies and I loved it but i had a lot of bleeding. I also tried her meringue buttercream recipe but it didn't dry very well. I was wondering if it's possible to use a crusting buttercream recipe to decorate cookies and if you can use it for flooding? Sorry, I'm new to this. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you! I had seen this before but it's been a while. It helped to refresh things. I don't have a stand up mixer and was trying to find a way to ice the cookies with an easier icing to make. I've already broken a hand mixer from the icing being too thick and I didn't want to break another one. I'll have to try the glaze again and let it sit longer in between any colors that are next to eachother. I was just hoping that I might be able to do flooding with buttercream.
