Hi guys!

I have a Bridal shower cake for next week, and I'm running low in ideas!!
I have a copy of the invitation seen below. That is all i really have to go on, and i basically have been given free reign. I want to do something different than my norm, something modern, but still classy icon_wink.gif I like the feel of a lot of the "Martha Stewart" labeled wedding cakes out there..if that makes any sense... just clean, soft...etc

I thought about doing a tall skinny cake 6in rounds, 8in tall or so, but im really nervous about wrapping cakes in fondant, If i had more time i'd try it... but right now not sure if i should.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

For some reason, I can't view the invitation - it's asking me to sign into Yahoo, and I don't have a Yahoo sign-in.

One of my fave bridal shower designs is the dress - of which there are many versions:

I did a version of the following cake for a bridal shower, and it went over really well:

Good luck! It's almost harder when there isn't any direction from the customer!

That's really pretty. It's a lot less "bridal" than some invitations. The gerbera cake I linked to above might still work, but it's a busier design.

I like the idea of the tall cakes, with the pattern from the invitation on them, with maybe a fondant ribbon around it?

I like your idea of the tall cake, it has a modern feel and if you use the floral design from the invitation, maybe just a few - very clean and modern. Have fun with it. Draw it out first then as you're drawing, maybe it will come to you.

I found this cake on the internet and bookmarked it for a later time, but I think something like this would go perfect if done with the flowers and colors of the invitation. Hope this helps!

I like the simplicity yet sophisticated look of the cake in the link that Ashley posted. Doing something along those lines with the floral from the invite would be cool.

I haven't tried doing a tall thin cake with Fondant, so hard to comment on that, but it sounds like it would be a great looking cake.

I am making my step daughters too for next month. Need to know how to make Watermellon Icing for the roses and the tracing of the umbrella in the middle of it. On top of the umbrella a rose and some leaves. then I poem I wrote if you want to use it you can.

This shower is filled with lots of love and wishes too,
For a beautiful future for both Joe and You.

Put the roses on the top left and bottom right and the umbrella in the middle with that under it or next to it.

OK
