A friend I work with asked me to make a cake in the shape of a vintage coke bottle. If anyone has any suggestions as how to make the greenish glass look I would appreciate it.

I would think using a green paste or gel (a little at a time to get the desire color) would work. You could also make a coke bottle mold using isomalt and use it as a cake topper.

Thanks for the ideas. I have never worked with isomelt yet. It is something I should look into.

Isomalt are sugar crystals that when added with a little water liquifies the sugar, and when poured into a mold can create a sugar bottle. There is a link here on CC that you can go to that shows you how to make your own mold and create sugar bottles. If you go to the home page and scroll down you will see tutorial or you can go to the MYOM website. Of course you will have to purchase the necessary supplies.
