I have read the posts and understand that I need commercial vehicle insurance for the cake deliveries. My question is does that mean I would not need/can drop the personal auto insurance on the vehicle? Do I have to have both on the same vehicle? The commercial insurance is going to be expensive from what I have read so if I can save money by dropping the personal that would help.

TIA!

Kris,

You are correct, you do not need personal insurance if you have commercial insurance on your vehicle. You would be double insuring it.

I worked in commercial underwriting for 10 yrs.

HTH!
