I am making a two tier hexagon shaped chocolate groom's cake and need ideas on the best way to make a small football helmet as the topper. All ideas welcome! Thanks!!

*ALERT* This is coming from a novice who just made her first football helmet last weekend - I started with 2 - 8" round pans and an 8" domed pan. You can adjust according to the size you need. (maybe 6" rounds and a 6" dome?) I also made the face mask out of gum paste, which was much too fragile. next time I'll make it out of a gum paste/fondant mixture. I also used a clay extruder so that the snakes were nice and even. You can look at my pics to see the final result if you'd like. Good luck to you!!
