Does anybody know what the status of Cake Girls is? I was wondering if they're back in business yet and if there is going to be another season of "Amazing Wedding Cakes"?

I can't wait to see White Flower.... they are near me and I have taken some classes from them. Lauren and Marianne are great!

I looked at their website and apparently they have not reopened as of yet.

They aren't reopening. There was a thread on this in the Lounge that I haven't been able to locate (does anyone know if it was deleted?). IIRC, one of the sisters already has another job (or went back into her previous field), and it was rumored that they weren't rebuilding perhaps because the insurance took too long to pay.?????

I tried to find it also, but I couldn't. I was pretty sure it was in the Lounge. icon_smile.gif

Can any of you remind me of their names? I can remember one is Mary, but that is all? The other sister and their last name?

Thanks

I have been so sad about this they were my absolute favorite on the show!! By far most creative, modern, and well executed cakes on the show!! Weren't they on some food network challenges, you would think maybe someone from food network would show some support in some way for them!! I'm just upset and wish I could do something to get them back on amazing wedding cakes, lol!!

Sometimes after a life event like a fire it is emotionally hard to go back to what you were doing. My sister had a total loss fire of her bakery 2 years ago and it has taken her that long to even consider reopening. They are rebuilding and hope to be open the first week in May. They sold the property where her original building was and when we drive by that empty lot, she still can't look at it!
