I have tried to revive an edible image, gone brittle, by turning it over carefully and spraying no stick spray on the back. That was two days ago. Nothing has sunk in. It is still brittle. Any other suggestions

Is it on an icing sheet? The ones I use say to take them into a humid environment for a short while (like a steamy bathroom).

It probably is an icing sheet. I had it made for me at a grocery store a long time ago and it is very brittle. Do you think if I get some humidity by it and it softens up it would remain soft for a few days. I'm just trying to be able to use it. If I wait until the last minute to try the humidity and it doesn't work that could be a problem. If I do if now and it does work I wonder if it will last for a couple of days so I can still use it.

Probably too late for this, but you could try putting it in an air tight container with a piece of bread. It works for dry cookies. icon_smile.gif

Put it in an airtight bag with a damp paper towel for a few days. Be sure the paper towel is to the backing side of the image. You might want to put a piece of plastic wrap between the image and the paper towel, just to be safe. It will put moisture back into the image, but I don't know how far gone yours is. It is worth a try, otherwise, your image is useless..

I haved used my steamer to moisten mine up. Careful you don't get any drops on the edilbe image. I also put the image in a closeable bag and put some steam in the bag and then seal it. Careful not too much steam in the bag, don't want it to rain in their.
