Does anyone know how long spun sugar lasts? I wanted to use it as a decor on top of a tree and not sure if it will last 2-3 days? Also, what happens to it that makes it not last?

What is the difference between spun and pulled sugar?

Spun sugar has a very short life - hours. Moisture is the enemy. Humidity in the air causes it to melt. Think about what happens to cotton candy when you put it in your mouth. icon_smile.gif

Spun sugar is a bunch of very fine strands of sugar. Cooked sugar can be pulled into a thin strand or other shape. It can also be stretched, pulled and folded over itself to give a satin sheen.
