Oil, Shortening, Flour!

I hope it's alright that I post this here.

I just finished baking a cake and used the equal parts oil, shortening and flour paste in my pan (it was mentioned by a poster in a previous thread). It worked like a dream! I've been using spray this whole time and even though I didn't have too much of a problem with the spray, these babies just slid out.

I'm sure many people know about this method, but I figured that there are a few new people like myself that have never tried it before.

I mixed the oil, shortening and flour then applied it with a pastry brush to the sides and just an inch inside the pan. I then put parchment down and greased that.

Yes, this stuff is awesome! A tip: I used to make mine in my stand mixer and it was kind of messy. Then I read somewhere that someone used a blender instead. I definitely recommend mixing it in a blender. Much less mess.

I did it with the hand mixer and it was pretty messy! The blender would be much better hehe!!
