I know you can make fondant without using marshmallows. My cake decorator did for my wedding. I am cannot eat marshmallows, they make me sick (traumatic childhood memory of marshmallows).

The recipe I found doesn't seem to work correctly. Does anyone know of a better one (preferably not using 8 cups of powered sugar...)? How about cake decorating tutorials? I am such a noob at this and I really want to try my hand at it. If I can get good enough, I may be able to use this to bring in the income we are losing since I can no longer work while pregnant.

I would greatly appriceiate any help. FYI: I am trying to make a baby shower cake for my sister-in-law and myself (yes we are both knocked up lol)
