Hi guys, Im brand new to this site, and Im looking for a Knock your socks off recipe for a birthday cake, my son is turning 16 and I want a cake the kids will rave over, I was hoping some of you pros could lend me one of your best, thanks glenda. icon_smile.gif

hey there,welcome! this site is amazing!

depending on how u like to bake (box vs scratch or both) theres a few good ones on here. The Durable cake for 3d and wedding cakes recipes is amazing, it uses a box mix and you add a few things to it. Super Good,very moist . i have used this one before. you can switch up your cake and pudding mix flavors to get almost any combination

another one i always always use (my family is big on scratch baking so i have been perfecting my recipes lol) is for a chocolate cake.
I have had people come up to me on two separate occasions at a party (not family)where i made the cake and tell me this is the best
Choc cake they have ever had.

here is the link to the recipe, it says to bake in a jelly roll pan but i use round/square/sheet pans all the time, my fav filling with this is whipped chocolate ganache.
