Don't know if this is the right place for this post but I was just wondering.......what are your favorite cake flavor/frosting combos? All my family ever eats is chocolate and well, that gets old. I'd like to try some different flavors and just wondering what flavors go with what! icon_biggrin.gif

If you have links to recipes that would be awesome too!

Have you baked them as cupcakes before?

I was thinking about making something for the guys at work, but cupcakes are easier on the grab and go factor.

No, I haven't; but have baked many of Sky High recipes as cupcakes before with no problems. It's my go-to book for delicious combinations.

I wanted to do it a while ago, and put one of those dried pineapple flowers on top of each cupcake. Like this? I even got the apple corer to core the cupcakes and put the pineapple inside.

But my day job doesn't let me do much!! If I get to bake the cake is only because my aunt requests it for her birthday all the time.

French vanilla (or yellow) cake filled with vanilla pastry cream and sliced fresh strawberries, frosted with fudge frosting

White chocolate cake frosted with strawberry puree bc is my latest favorite. I also make a mean spiced bc that's really good on this cake, too.
