I am always interested to see what type of frosting that you use for your sugar cookies. Why? I have tried Glace and also royal icing. I always go back to Rolled Buttercream for the ease of covering the entire cookie, the taste, and the softness of it. I will use glace or royal for details. What about you?
I should mention that I cover the cookie right out of the oven with the RBC. While it is a major pain to do all that work at one time, it is so awesome to have the cookie baked and covered in one step!

I love glace. It's so easy to prepare, and I've had very few problems working with it. The only drawback is that it doesn't like the cold, and will dry with a mottled finish unless kept warm. Now that winter is finally ending, I won't have to worry about this for many months!
