Hey Dolls,

I have been looking for a moist cupcake recipe that will be able to hold the frosting. Does anyone have a good chocolate cake recipe to use?

I want to try this recipe:

4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (not Dutch process)
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

I have really good success with the Hershey's black magic cake. Very moist and works well with icing. HTH.

Try Magnolia Bakery's chocolate cupcake recipe. It's on the web. It's not too dense but it does hold up.
